For Games Day Baltimore 2009, Mythic hired Charm City Cakes (of Ace of Cakes fame) to construct a celebratory cake unlike any other: a humongous battle squig. The cake was such a hit that it ended up being featured in an Ace of Cakes episode on the Food Network. I was approached by our marketing department with the idea of putting Duff Goldman, the head chef, into the world of Warhammer as a fun little bit for the show. In a week's time, I had Duff running around in the WAR client, complete with battle props, icing bags, and a giant Maryland flag standard. The network used my provided screenshot to introduce the episode, and ended with the footage of my Duffman battling a squig in-game.
